- I'm a democracy and governance specialist based in Washington, D.C. After graduating from a joint BA/MIA program at Columbia University, I cut my teeth in the field working on civil society and political development programs in South Asia and Eastern Europe. My passion, however, has long been the poles of the Earth: places of fascinating convergence among geopolitical, environmental, and mercantile interests. This blog explores major issues in Arctic and Antarctic governance.
